NOT fun times coming for me...

This started when I moved here and got a new dentist, who, as it turns out, is a lousy dentist. ( I fired him) His lousy work either contributed to or caused bone loss in my jaw, which my current dentist discovered, and referrred me to a periodontist last week. I have bone loss in my jaw, and am going in for surgery to do a bone graft on the 19th. They're going to slice open my gums to expose my jaw to do the work, then recontour my gumline and stitch me back up. I already have prescriptions for an antibiotic and hydocodone for after the surgery. I'm NOT looking forward to this.

Oh, and it's expen$ive.

I had to have a necrotic bone graft done on the front of my upper jaw about 3 years ago. I had to have the graft done to create an anchor for the implant that I needed after a bad dentist broke a perfectly heathly tooth into pieces while he was drilling on it. The bone graft was relatively easy though and not near as bad or as painful afterwards as a root canal. I hope yours goes as well.
