I hate this Ford commercial

This little girl isn't the brightest

It just sounds way too forced.

Oh I'm embarassed because in that part of town people ride bikes and drive hybrids , What Just walk then! Wouldn't want a gang of hybrid drivers to attack you.

I am sure he never thought he would need to talk about it.
I am sure he thought she could read

^^ Definitely. Every time that commercial comes on I just shake my head. There are certain commercials that if my wife sees them come on, she changes the channel, cuz she knows I'll make a comment. This is one of them.

2010 Stock IBM 2SS/RS

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"

I hated the commercial at first also but I think Ford is being pretty slick with the wording. I think they make a couple of points with the ad.

1) A lot of people that are infatuated with hybrids (like the little girl) seem to be more concerned more about their "green image" than actually doing something about it.

2) Dad makes the point "never thought I needed to talk about it" as though he's doing something about the environment, unlike others that just "talk about it".

Although I still cringe a little on the inside when the commercial comes on, I think it's funny how Ford is slapping the greenie posers in the face with this little exchange between father and daughter.

Dirt!

I think it shows:

1) That the guy has a snotty little girl.

2) That the family doesn't discuss anything.

If I bought a new car, and it was a hybrid, I would certainly discuss the benefits of it with my kids, and teach them about why it's a good thing. Instead, though, I'm going to buy a V8 to go with my F-150.

Lucky it wasn't my kid.

I'd been droping them off right in from of the theatre in my V8. I'd be teaching them the importance of not doing something just because everybody else is.

Great comic strip.

Great comic strip.

That comic is pure genius.
