Do you like Mustangs?

I'm still new, and just wanted your opinions on them. I know there is a rivalry, which I don't know anything about, but a car is a car nonetheless.

You'll find all kinds here.

As for me, I like them, especially the ones with body kits like the Shelby and the Roush and the Saleens. I loved the concept Mustang, but was upset when they dumbed it down for production. Thought several times about buying a GT, but I autocross, and that solid rear axle is a deal breaker for me. I'm by no means a professional, just mostly local stuff, but even I know that a sold rear axle is a handicap from the start.

I won't bash Mustangs, but I'll certainly say that they can make this Camaro better than a Mustang very easily.

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"

I know what you mean with the Camaro > Mustang. I used to hangout on a Mustangsite when I was a little younger just for laughs. It'll be a little one sided where ever you go.

I can remember when I was first looking for a car, the first 2 I ever looked at were mustangs. Then a firebird formula before I found my Z28.

I can appreciate almost any well built/customized car. I don't like the looks of the current Mustang (except for the Shelby KR500 and the Saleen). I did like the 98+s though. I hated the 94s-97...I never could figure out why they designed it to look like an Escort back then. Of course, I love the 64-69s...especially the Fastbacks. If you can't appreciate those, then you're not an automotive enthusiast IMO.

Favorite car though is a 70.5 RS/Z28, followed by a 57 Nomad.

Yes. I like the new generation Mustang. Yes. I think that Ford could have done better.

And Yes, I joke, and poke fun, and razz the Mustang owners to now end - ALL in good fun.

I'm with Dragoneye, the jokes I make towards Mustang are all in good fun.
...part of what makes a rivalry interesting!

I do like Mustangs, but I like Camaros much much more.

I owned a '91 LX 5.0. Not all that fast of a car, but super easy to work on and parts are plentiful and dirt cheap. The car was dead-on reliable the year or so I owned it.

Can't argue with that.
