Clear bra that won't eat paint?

I've heard of them having some adverse effects on paint, any recommendations on brands? I'd like to get one given all the loose rocks on the roads in NM, just not sure where to start.

I dont know any of them that will damage paint. The only problems I have seen/experienced in 10 years of installing them has been cars that had it put on fresh paint. Paint has to full cure (normally 30 days) before installing film on it. Other than that you should be fine as long as its a good paint job.

As far as brands of film goes there are a few I carry. I try and test all of them out for various factors befroe promoting them... so I am not biased in anyway. I usually look for durability, cost, appearance (lack of orange peel), and the dhesive. Suntek has a film out now that is self healing... basically scratches heal up with a little heat. Its a REALLY good film. Also Avery Nano Fusion is a good film to use when they are producing it. Right now the line is shut down and they arent making it. It is supposed to start back up at the end of the month though. I also like Ventureshield Ultra and the new Xpel Ultimate films. Any of those and you should be fine.

Factory cars are fine... only when the car has been repainted do you have to worry about it.
