Using 2 car covers....

I have a nice car cover from California Car Cover that I use on 1 of my cars. The cover is a outdoor cover and works very well. My problem is that I have a neighborhood cat that likes to use the rear corners of my cover as a scratching post. I sent the cover back once already for CCC to repair the damages and re-enforce the corners. Now the cat is doing it again. I have another car cover that I was thinking of putting on top of my CCC cover to help reduce the damage that this cat does. Would putting 2 car covers on the car cause any damage or ruin anything? I'm also looking at getting some cat repellant to help the issue, but wanted to see if using 2 covers was also a option. Thanks!

While 2 covers will not hurt anything, I would look into putting some type of repellant around the vehicle on the ground NOT ON THE COVER.

I had this same problem with my GTO. Since it sits under a carport a lot, I have had it covered since the cat problem started.
First I got the cover and tied it down on all four wheels as well as the middle. Then got a rodent/animal repelant mounted next to my car.
Next I bought 3 cages and sent close to a dozen cats to the humaine society. Finally I caught a little raccoon. Started leaving cat food and leftover vegetables near my car. Every morning I'd get home from work (left my car under the carport) and there would be a raccoon in one or two of the cages. Now no more cats. I feed the raccoons, they crap all around the carport and either kill or scare away all the cats.
The best thing is, the raccoons don't get on my car, don't spray my tires, or scratch my paint.
Feed your raccoons and let them crap all over your yard.
Good luck!

There are some cat repellent sprays that you can get at PetSmart or Petco that work like a boundary.
I dunno how well they work, but it'd be worth a shot.

That is an option I can't do. I have a 9mm berretta with a laser scope but I don't believe in killing anything that I don't intend to eat.
I had many scratches put in my GTO and never killed any of the cats, just caught them and called the Humaine Society no kill shelter to come get them. IMO you shouldn't kill it, just catch it and give it a home away from yours.
What attracts cats to climb/scratch cars? Anyone know?

Cats like laying on things naturally, but height and warmth I'm sure are the 2 big factors. Plus, if you were a cat, and could choose to lay on a Camaro and a Taurus, which one would YOU rather lay on?
