Where Is The 73-77 A-body Love?

Hi guys,

I cannot find 1 car I like that has enough aftermarket and repro for me. I love the '74, it's a great step into old school cars and it's look have grown on me a lot, but with the schedule I have, I do not have the time hunting for parts.

Searching for original parts is half the battle and can be fun all on it's own, but why..just why are these cars soooo overlooked? I seriously cannot find rear window trim to save my life (among other things) and 1st gen and 3rd/4th gen have repro parts out the @$$.... what gives?

My thirdgens weren't even this difficult... even the owner of the NMCOA came into the shop the other day and told me the same story. I feel in the next few years these cars will be brought to light but will always be shadowed by their big brothers...and right now I just don't have time for that.

ugh, just stopping in to rant and get some opinions on my next move.

Garage
Most of the guys I chat with about these cars when the conversation turns that way, feel the second gen was underwhelming in the styling/looks dept. And is why they are back burner.

I personally dig the split bumper cars but the others take a lot of warming up to....

I'm too busy loving on my 5th Gen.

2010 Stock IBM 2SS/RS

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"
