Christmas shopping

Did some Christmas shopping for my daughter tonight. Wow traffic sucked today. It took forever to get anywhere and the stores were packed and Toy R Us looked like they just got hit by a storm with all the crap everywhere and half there toys not in stock.

I bought her one of those Razor quads. It electric and says top speed of 10mph. I didn't know the thing cost so much till I got to the register. The wrong tag was on it that said $199, but it was $349. I bought the thing anyways. Heck for that price I should have just bought a gas one.

Do you all have any suggestions as to where to get a gas one. I think I am going to take this one back. I can just limit the speed on the gas one.

I would check your local Hobby Stores (like where they sell model airplanes and stuff). They carry all kinds of remote control vehicles of all levels in the stores around here.

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"

For small, rideable quads, check the normal ATV dealers. They usually carry small children's bikes and ATV's.

D'oh! I guess I read something wrong. For some reason I was thinking remote control. For ridable quads, check Pep Boys (before they go out of business). They always carry stuff like that, too.

Well I tried the local ATV dealer and they wanted $1899 for a 49cc. I found them on Ebay for $448 for a 110cc with the same size frame or a little bit bigger as the 49cc. Of course I am sure it is an off brand, but it can't be any worse than a razor brand one. I could have swore I have seen them for that price around here, but I can't think of where.

I don't have a pep boys near by. I don't think TSC has them.

This is the one I found on EBAY:
