A bit of a rant / complaint towards GM

Why would GM make Camaro with a freaking HUGE and awesome 6.2l V8 and have it sound like a Lumina and tuned like an Astovan?

1st answer:The auto makers have to comply with federal guidelines when manufacturing cars, and there are noise specs. If you want to annoy your neighbor who works nights, go for it.
2nd: I looked up Astovan and got nothing.

So you can add the exhaust system of your choice if you want that rumble.

Two completely different power trains. The tuning is nothing similar.

I believe what you've been dancing around is you're mad because the ECU is posting a code since you had an aftermarket exhaust installed, and now you find out the powertrain warranty is void if you have it tuned.

Get it tuned. They'll adjust the ECU to accommodate your third party parts.

It's really no big deal.

Bite the bullet and get it tuned! You'll be glad you did because you've already blown your power train warranty and it's money well spent...so it's time to make those headers really sing.

Sarcasm doesn't come off too well in text. Looks like whining.
No worries here.

Agree.... There should so be a "sarcastic" text........ LOL

I agree with the sound though, the 5th Gen's don't sound near as good as the 4th Gen SLP SS with the CME. But, to each is their own.
