Very nice car. Sticker is $46,000.00

Love the suede style seats and door panels. Very comfortable to sit in.

When Chevrolet unveiled it at Daytona last year, right before the NASCAR season kicked off, I Loved it..... But, for a sticker of $46K, that is absolutely crazy!! Cars are getting out of hand.

I agree. The car is priced too high, but at the same time, you know it's priced high because they didn't want it to compete with the sales of Malibu, Impala, Cadillac ATS.

The market is flooded with family sedans and unfortunately not many people are going to pick up with RWD v8 even though we've been needing this for a long time haha

Impala mostly. ATS buyers won't be cross-shopping this.

It's the reason there's no V6 VF Commodore in the US.

When you look at the pricing structure, SS basically is the new Impala SS. V8, RWD, full size sedan starting where an Impala LTZ leaves off.

My understanding was the engineer that designed the G8 got moved to the Camaro platform when Pontiac shut down, he created the SS which is the G8 and Camaro intertwined.

I talked to the Chevy rep 'tending' the SS on display at Hendrick Motor Sports before the Charlotte race ... he said a couple of things ... something to the effect of a car for Camaro type pep in a 4-door family type car as you really cant cart a family around in a Camaro ... and .... something like a step before the Cadillac they would have liked to do a few more things but didn't want it to compete with the Caddy. He said low production numbers, something like 2000 units, which sounded real, real low, but I am pretty sure that is what he said. I said to him that there was no way I would spend that type of money on a 4-door family car

Agreed, No way would I spend that money on a 4-door family car. If I'm gonna spend that much money on something family sized I would get a nice sized SUV, the new Durango's are gorgeous and I fell in love with that SUV lol. Plus you can tow with something like that. Yeah the gas would be better in a car, but not worth that price, not for me anyways. When I move to California I'll be keeping my Camaro for a while, but eventually up-size to an SUV. Regular sized family cars are just to expensive now. Minus the super small 4drs they make haha!
