I wanted to do a little more researching on Invoice vs. MSRP prices, and I was using the brand new G8 GT as my test. Well, I came across this article which gave me a lot of insight into internet buying as opposed to going to the lot.
Thought I'd share it. But afterwards, it made me appreciate Camaro Scotty even more, being on this site, gathering information, and telling us that his dealership will be selling Camaros for MSRP. Previously, I wasn't really sure what the difference might be between MSRP and Invoice pricing, but it's really not as much as I thought it was. So paying $500 over invoice is really paying close to MSRP anyway on most cars.
Once GM releases the specs on the car (models, options, colors), I will probably start the process of ordering mine. I really want to watch it get built at the plant in Canada (if the stupid axle strike is over) but if I have to take delivery in WI at Scotty's dealership, then that's 786 miles home in my brand new car. Can you say "break-in period over"? I can.
Anyways, just thought I'd share the article, maybe it can help other people when the time comes to buy.
