Save Anheuser-Busch

As many of you may already know, a few days ago, Belgian beer company InBev made a bid of $52 billion to buy Anheuser-Bucsh. Now while the decision isn't final, many have begun circulating petitions on the net to save AB.

If any of you want to sign the petition, please go here:

This is just a way for you to help save the last major American beer company from being bought out. We'd all do the same for GM if this was happening to them.

Petition for what? Unless someone in the USA ponies up the $$ to buy them, let the deal go through. Maybe they will actually add some taste to that urine in a can

Well from what I've heard, the petition is so that Warren Buffet will buy the company. Reason being is that he's the largest shareholder in the company. And yes, AB tastes bad, but I gotta root for my hometown company.

Seriously, I don't like this one bit either.

I was pissed when that South African company bought Miller, and this is worse because Anheuser-Busch is bigger.
This still has to get approved by the shareholders, but that's usually a minor step.

Since the MillerCoors merger, Anheuser-Busch has been the only (major) US beer company left.
And now there will be none.

You are a little too late on that deal. They are choosing to join with not be bought out forcefully and it makes them the number one bear maker in the world again. Right now they are number three and falling. If you want to help then buy stock not sign a petition.

Thats what I thought too, but Warren Buffet is the largest shareholder of AB stock. That means, technically, he own the company. However, he doesn't own the controlling interests, i.e. 51% or more of the stock. I hope that if enough people sign it, he will buy the company for himself.

The other day I went to a restaurant, and they had a special that import beers were $2.00. I said, "oh, good. Can I get a Bud Light, then?" They didn't find it as funny as I did.

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"
