I so don't agree with the Matrix being on there. I was actually fairly disappointed with that scene; I'd replace that with Death Proof, the chase scene between the white "Vanishing Point" 1970 Challenger and the 1969 Charger at the end was awesome. That was the first time since I was a kid that I actually stood up and yelled in a movie theater. Ronin and the French Connection are two of my favorite movies, wooo! Bullitt is the obvious choice for number 1.

"Vanishing Point" needs to be there, so does "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry" and the original "Gone in 60 Seconds"

I think these are all pretty well done. The new Gone in 60 Seconds might have had a shot without that stupid CGI Ambulance jump at the end. Love Eleanor.

It's hard to say what are the best, because they are always trying to make the best in the new movies, and they use the old ones as benchmarks when they want to make good scenes.

I also like the "Bourne" chases, I think they are well done.

2010 Stock IBM 2SS/RS

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"

Garage
Call me stupid, but I'm still fond of the Original Smokey & the Bandit scenes, and even more noteworthy, HOOPER.... driving backwards down a highway, and don't forget the trans am scene with the falling smokestack. Just plain legendary!

Yeah, as the film maker here on the board, that list in B.S. I mean, great stuff, but there are so many great car chases.
