I would definitely recommend looking at a Chevy Cobalt, Pontiac G5, or even a Ford Focus instead.

I purchased an 08 cobalt w/ the 2.2l engine and 5 speed trans, back in May because my Silverado was killing me at the pump. 50 miles to round trip to work. For what it is, it is a great little car to get me back a forth. I average 32-33 miles per gallon. When I first test drove the car, I was surprised by the power that little 4 banger had. I am very pleased with my car and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little fuel efficient car, made by Chevrolet, of course.

I agree with Tim the Cobalt is a great car and dont leave out the Pontiac !!!!!!!!
And if all else fails then go with the Fuctus however get a 06 or 07 model they look better than the new ones.
