My old toy / project

About 3 years ago I bought a VW GTI to play with. I have a dyno run prior to doing some work on it...I spent some coin on it, changed the ecu software and a few other things...ran the stock turbo 40K miles 10-12 psi over stock. I wanted to dyno the car but this shop went under.....all I know is for a 4 Cyl is was awesome. Not off the line due to wheel spin, but rolling 20mph or more, this little thing ZINGED! For comparison, the Cobalt SS wasn't quite this good, but impressed me for stock. I just wonder what little tricks can be done with that cobalt SS Turbo. One drawback is the front wheel drive....So, Next year my plan is to get an Audi A6 2.7, do an exhaust, turbo & software update...AWD and should be about 400HP+....

I know, I have Camaro love, but I have young drivers coming up, and I like projects.....The nice thing about the software vendor I've worked with, I can lock out the big HP program and put in a valet mode which is slower than....well, you know. And at a price that is affordable.

I always liked (still do) the VW's. I was ready to purchase a black 2006 GTI, but ended up getting a deal I couldn't turn down on the Magnum. Scotty, how is the turbo setup for the Audi?

The A6 is a twin turbo system. matched with a nice free flow stainless exhaust, header / downpipe, and the software, it's amazing hp out of an awd car. Not saying VW / Audi is reliable, in fact, I've seen others do similar mods and blow up the turbos. A lot has to do with software vendors...some push the limits more to show better numbers than the other guy, but it's too much - and causes "catastrophic failure". I think I can get the car and git er done for about $12,000
