GOT TO DRIVE MY FIRST CAMARO

A white SS 4th gen popped up at work yesterday.i have pics on my camera phone but that's about it.it needed an oil change and a check engine light fixed(turns out the engine was misfiring).my boss told me to drive it to see what's wrong with it.since it was a customer's car i DID NOT do anything crazy like burnouts or drifting but DAYUM that punch from 30-90
I see why you guys like'em and I still dunno if a 5th gen will be the first performance car i'll buy but most deff.I will buy it even if it's to keep a stang and or a chally or goat company.

The interior was red and the exterior was white and had 60,500 miles on it and it was a 2000 model year.
I can honestly say I can seriously see myself in one and I wouldn't be disappointed

If you have the money, i say you buy one, because you are absolutely correct, you would not be disappointed.

And thank you for not doing anything stupid in that guys car. I hate when you take a nice car into a shop and the techs do nothing but put 20 HARD driven miles on it, and then tell you that they had to "test drive it".

Red interior? Hm... must have been aftermarket.

They stopped putting red interiors in them in the early/mid 90's.

I think Onstar should have a "shop" setting, you call them and have it set that they monitor every movement of the vehicle once you put it in the shop, so they can tell you if the mechanics abused it or not.

That is, if they can tell how fast a car is moving(which I think they can).

Yup, when they debuted the LS1 vehicles were amazing performance machines for the price, and still are. That's why i plan on keeping my LS1 vette even when i add the new camaro. GM does deliver on the performance end.

That may be true with the whole "shop setting", honestly i don't use my Onstar very often, so i don't know. But i'm pretty sure they didn't offer Onstar in the 4th gen camaros.

(Sorry if that wasn't what you meant.)

I'm not quite hooked i need another hit
but a few of my co-workers they have modded hondas and believe it or not only one likes a few gm cars including the camaro, but he's too far on the import(jap) side to be pulled back to the domestic side in my opinion.what was funny is that even though my current car isn't nowhere near capable of handling a street race with a modified car he had asked me when were both getting into our cars cuz both of them were side by side in the parking lot if he wanted to race me i said no,let me get a proper car then i'll race you
