Envy Not sure you'll find much help on that one here. I'm not aware of anyone that has a hypertech tune. Originally I was going to get one but after doing some research I opted for the Trifecta tune because I was of the opinion that Vince was the only one that could get the V6 tuning right.

I see you're new here so I do want to warn you that street racing is not allowed as a discussion topic....because it is an illegal activity... not to mention extremely dangerous and irresponsible. Everyone thinks they can handle their car all the way up until the moment they can't...and then it's way too late.

DaILLestWun I think the issue here is that there are not enough people really going into their forums showing interest. Compare the thread started on the Diablosport website for the V6 Camaro:

View topic - 2010 V6 Camaro :: DiabloSport :: Gas and Diesel Tuning Systems

To the one I started a few years back for the V6 LX's:

View topic - Support the V6 LX guys... :: DiabloSport :: Gas and Diesel Tuning Systems

We had pages upon pages of people going on the website. Our tuners really didn't do much in the HP/TQ. area but sure did help out with many other features. Just need to be perisitent.

We have. I have another older thread on here about that. We have been trying for a long time. Sending in requests and posting on vendors blogs. I think that is why we finally got through to Hyper. That and maybe they saw that Vince finally got 13hp out of a stock block.

Now tuners can get into the transmission and tune that but that is is.

Yup!

We also give the fleet owners the option to have the vehicle limited to max RPM, MPH, etc. to save on service & maintanace from employee abuse.
I figured you can do something to help mpg using available parameters. Can you access Lean Cruise?

Are they allowed to do millage tunes? I've always heard from HPT that they are not allowed to give access to the parameters that would allow you to tweek things that would increase MPG because of red tape from EPA.

edit:
I did some digging in this. It looks like Lean Cruise Mode is disabled for all american cars. Apperently it is due to emmisions. You will get better millage with Lean Cruise Mode on, but emissions will be worse. This is only available for cars outside the US because the EPA made it unlawful for the tuner companies to allow access to this parameter in the program.

So there may be MPG tunes using the availble parameters, but you could get better MPG is Lean Cruise Mode was available.

Quote:
14.7 is the best for emmisions, which i guess is why the US doesn't allow lean cruise.

Using less fuel is what lean cruise is all about not emissions although the two are obviously related (like i burned 80 gallons of fuel in a nice way, but you only burned 70 in a not so nice way... which is worse? The EPA decided that one for you). We will not allow you to change the enable/disable status of lean cruise via the editor as Ken said before.
Quote:
As this would put us in direct violation with the EPA laws, we are not even going there.

Ken
I guess the other tuning parameters are OK because they are considered off road use, but lean cruise is not off road use because you wouldn't need lean cruise at the track. This is why it violates EPA rules.
