is it better to go lt or ls
LS platform is gaining more ground from R&D. Overall it will cost less and perform better from what you've asked. The aftermarket shops and products are more focused on the LS platform than the LT platform which means you will have more options on the build.
auto or stick
Depends on what your level is on the track with both. Few go manual but once you get the hang of it, you can beat and auto any day. There is more flexibility in an M6 than an auto overall with heat, humidity and altitude on the track and stree vs and auto.

For what is coming in the next 8-12 months, it would be better to keep track of the LS aftermarkets overall, price and power will be within your range.

5thgenlover I Dont Take The Stang Much Above 100 due to The Noise Of the Soft top.

USA1Camaro The 5th Gen should have no problem hitting 160-170mph before the speed limiter kicks in. My current ride ( GTO ) can hit 160+ with no problem. The 05-06 models, 400hp can approach 180mph with the limiter removed.

The 5th gen will have plenty of top end potential, more than I'll need. Might as well get a 3.73:1 , 3.91:1 , or steeper gears and make it hook out of the hole.

Save your money

slims00ls1z28 Me too! and with a good weight advantage to the Camaro it'll probably beat it pretty good.
