UnhappyMohawk22 i dont believe so.... I am getting a gauge tonight to check fuel pressure.... going to replace camshaft sensor..... Just hope one of these two are it. I am afraid its out of time....

demonspeed Did you bang around your MAF? How about the TPS?

UnhappyMohawk22 yes... i just double checked all of them. When it starts it is really luggish and sounds like its flooded..... sounds kinda like an old model T running. If i let it run for awhile it will speed up idle a little then go back down after a few mins.... but never once will it just run normal. Could the timing be off (will it make it due this). If i so much as touch the throttle it wants to cut out and die? Any ideas for me to look into with it. Thanks..... oh ya when i took of the distributer the little plastic rotor was destroyed, it was in peaces inside the cap. don't know if that will help with anything but u guys were right about the opitspark being an issue with it. But i don't know if something else caused this all and thats why its still running bad?

demonspeed Are you sure you have the wires routed to the correct cylinders?

UnhappyMohawk22 ok so i replace distibutor, plugs, wires, water pump, alternater... got it all together. Now when i start it, it runs really ruff at idle and wont allow me to give it any gas. Is there something i have to do to let the computer reset itself or do u think its another issue.....?

Morpheus Ahh the old opti-spark. Now you know why it's nicknamed opti-crap.

All LT1 cars had it. It's the worst design ever. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put it under the water pump was a moron. You were almost guaranteed that if your water pump starting leaking, you were going to have to replace the opti-crap too.

Take a look at (sponsor ----->)
Distributor was going to be my next random shot in the dark.
I actually thought about that..but forgot what time ignition coils started being standard equip in engines. Apparently after 96.
