Envy The Invasion of Normandy, part of Operation Overlord, was an important turning point in WWII and an important day in U.S. history. God bless all the American soldiers who participated and our British & Canadian allies as well.

DDay for all you non historians out there...

On this day in 1944 the greatest seaborne invasion of all time took place, and Germany was only saved annihilation in 1944 by the autumn rains and onset of winter that allowed her to regroup for the battle of the bulge.
