Im shocked to see that they make new led tailight bulbs for the camaro that are led and have the built in resistors in them for the flashers and brakes so u dont have to wire a seperate resistor in, spoke to the tech and they just go in as a normal bulb, any of u guys hear of these or have them already, im about to place an order soon, just want to get some input
Orderd a set of white 3157 bulbs they said white will put out more light and sharper look then red with the stock housings, will get them next week and take pics for u guys!!!
Yea they are on backorder so it will be another week, i was worried that i should have got the front turn signals but the guy said it wouldnt matter and it wont hurt anything at all, but eventually i will get the front amber ones too to match the backs
Well, I installed a set of led 3157 replacement bulbs. They look awesome, but I am having an issue with the bulbs throwing a blown bulb code when the turn signals are used. No problem with the break lights or hazards, just turn signals. I also installed the AAC afterburners.
They are from matrix, a company in California. As of right now, I believe you are completely correct. They look good, it's just aggravating that a company wouldn't put the CAN Bus on the bulbs. Oh well, I think I'll return them to the company I bought them from and order the lumen bulbs with the CAN Bus. Thanks for the heads up.
No problem yea i would call Carid and order the Lumens they were very helpful and i made sure that these new bulbs will work, so i will let u know when i get them in!
Installed them today and it went really bad, first off the drivers side inside bulb is the biggest PITA to get too i spent and hour trying to get the socket in lol but then figured it out, so i removed the old 3157 and put the new can bus lumen 3157s in and at first they looked good and bright brakes lit up like a christmas tree and went off nice, then i turn the signals on and noticed the backs were working fine but the fronts were hyperflashing and same thing inside the car, along with a CHECK BULB RIGHT AND REAR MESSAGE, then stepped on the brake while the signals where on and no brake light at all, called Carid and gave them a piece of my mind and they said that i need a resistor seperatley wired in which is bull crap because he told me this wasnt the case when he sold them to me, or else i wouldnt have got them lol, just be aware that these bulbs suck and will throw a code out, had to put all the stockers back in

Your lights work on a complete circuit if you have a light go out the other one flashes faster. because the leds are low volt lights and the main light circuit isn't set up for all low volt lights that will happen everytime you can either put a resistor and diod isolate the rear lights or keep them stock. .5 to 1.5 volts is what leds usually use and thats fully lit your stock bulbs are 12v and use every bit of it when lit i could go in to more detail if you want . i use to be a dealership tech and also installed audio video for a living
