Anyone know how to Turn off Cat warm up with Trifecta? Its causing misfires in the morning cold weather, and neighbors throw a fit since i have LT headers and high flow cats. Thanks for the help.
Anyone know? There has gotta be someone who knows. Our cars have a cat warm up feature. it starts your car up with higher rpms to warm the catalytic converters to the recommended operating temp. i want to turn that off. because my modified exhaust is too loud.
nah man, appreciate you trying to help, but its def for cat warm up. i already know what it is just looking for someone with the knowledge to turn that warm up feature off using Trifecta tuning software.
Swap to the new MSD plugs just released and most of the misfires go away. The other issue you may have is a failed cat. What cyl (or cyl's) do the misfires show occurring in?
And if you have timing chain stretch, first start is where the codes throw as well.
Thanks for the reply. Its not throwing a CEL for the misfires, but i hear the hesitation in the morning, definitely a rough start. All im trying to do is tune out that Catalytic Convertor warm up cycle our cars do on a cold start. I know youve used Trifecta in the past with your Builds. Have you tried this before? Thanks again.
