Man. so that means the 2LT 'Vert is gonna be like 30K. (I'm guessing)

oh well, I'm getting one regardless. Besides that, 30K for the 400 horsepower SS and 23 MPG is a screamin deal. and the base price of the LS- a car that can run with the Challenger R/T.... Amazing.. Probably one of the best rounded cars of the 21st century.

What about GM card? How much will GM take off for the Camaro? $1000 or $2000?
Hey, good point. My GM card is way up there!

Buy them now before GM goes under, lol! I'm still waiting for the Z/28 with the Caddy CTS-V 550 horse power plant. I'm not concerned with the luxeries, I just want big BHP and a manual trans! I look FWD to seeing them on the road soon. The new Challenger is sweet looking, espeaciallly when you're looking at it in your rear view mirror through a cloud of smoked tires!

Good news. Prices seem fair. I'll be waiting to see what the 2SS convertible price is. Looking at a 2010 or 2011 purchase.

Dealers won't get mark-up on sales to us, because we already have options with dealers that have said MSRP or less (like Camaro Scotty). Shop around, and you'll find one.

camarojohnny, you think you could be a bit less disrespectful in your disagreement? You may or may not be taking that statement out of context.

But to blow a hole in your non-factual basis, you have no sustainable proof what the LS would or wouldn't do against an RT for sure. None of us do, but are waiting and wanting to find out. Advertised HP ratings alone don't mean squat.

To take your own advice, before claiming you know something as fact, how about waiting until real facts are available to argue that point?

Yes I'm a noob.

Are any of those prices for the convertible?

Also where does the cat back mufflers.cam shaft and other performance prices at?

What do u think is the best package to order if your into the convertible look and the solid stock outer look but would like to upgrade the horsepower(I know I have already posted about that)change the rims and upgrade the chassis?

Vert prices not out yet. Vert should be available late in the year and I am sure prices will come sometime a couple monhs before its release.

No prices on performance parts yet. Maybe after SEMA.

Okay, I'm backing off the ledge now. I'll wait until late 2009, and if GM is in better fiscal health than they are now, I'll get a 2SS MT with the RS package. And by then, the HUD and backup assist should be available, too... it all works out in the end. :D

Is a proper nav system going to be out by then, too? Oh, and I thought the Convenience and Connectivity package was standard on the 2SS...

that and the couple hundred pound difference in the camaro and the challenger.....i wouldn't be surprised if the v6 camaro beat the v8 challenger....after all IT IS A CHEVY!!!:bowtie_gold:

#28 ·
It may keep up at the start, but as the speeds increase, the Challenger will pull through...

Then again, we are comparing a V6 to a V8 :D

As for the pricing, the only 2SS option I want is leather. I'm not sure the price difference is worth it. Any idea if leather may be an option for 1SS at some point? I don't care for bluetooth, upgraded stereo, HUD or park assist.

Good pricing however im confused why you think a manual will be more $$$$$$ than a Automatic in the ss ???????? That would be a first ever if im not mistaking.

And as for the SS2 being priced around $40,000 I may be sticking with a SS1 if im going to be paying around $40,000 for a car it better be a Vette.
But then I guess no price is set final until you and the dealer shake hands.

I am not trying to burst anyone's bubble, but I am a Sales Consultant for automobiles; do not be suprised to see huge mark-ups on these new Camaros. I was selling Dodge's when the Challanger first hit the showroom floor. We had a $30,000 mark-up, and people paid it. If you have that kind of extra money to spend, then more power to you. If not, you might want to wait. Anything higher than a $3,000-4,000 mark-up is a rip-off.

the gm card has no restrictions...other than the 3500$ maximum savings on a new gm car. the card can be used on any new gm vehicle...i get notices in the mail every fall and winter boosting my earnings by an extra thousand or so...as i recall the extra savings has restrictions on it, but the earning accrued on your card is good toward any new gm vehicle.

ps: i hit the nail on the head with the pricing...i would get a 2lt 3.6 and out the door would be close to 30k (taxes and tags with a few options, though the standard equip on the 2lt is impressive)
