Why isn't Virginia in the Southeast thread?

after all it is a "southern" state

I think, with the exception of DC and Maryland, Virginians relate a whole lot more to the states south. If it wasn't for the high population in NoVa that might go to md, I would say everyone would go south before they go north ... opinions?

Am I missing something? It looks like it is in the SE thread to me. Being from NOVA, though, I usually look at threads covering VA, DC and MD.

Don't you know that everything west of New York is considered to be the Midwest? At least thats how they report the weather!!!
