45th ann. edition internal light question

The door paneling lights up and is controllable...

the same type of panel across the dash board above the a/c outlets that has the 45th ed emblem on it that has the exact same type of panels as the doors.

QUESTION: can or is that dash panel strip suppose to light up like the door panels do? If so how do I accomplish that?

Thank you in advance,

Fred, I have a 2013 2LT and mine does not light up either. I think they might have done this so it is not a distraction at night. I know when I first drove my new car at night, even the sides were a little distracting until I got used to them.

Thank you, it just seems to me that if the doors lit up that strip would light up as well, LOL

You can control the brightness to cut down on the distraction.

My Orange interior in my 2SS/RS doesn't light up on the dash strip. I agree with the idea of distraction. Although, my wifes 2013 GMC Acadia Denali has a red light strip on the passenger side dash.
