K&n typhoon cai

What's up fellow 6'ers , I just installed my new k&n air intake system, and it's great!! I love this intake, I first got the injen cai and did not like it, returned it, got the k&n love it the sound is perfect , the difference in throttle response is great , I can feel a difference in power, it barks shifting in to third, with TC on, did not do that before, easy easy easy to installe it's says 90 mins , ,More like 30 mins, when the proper tool are at hand, I should suggest this intake to everyone. I will post some pics later and a sound clip.

We got ours installed ... We think its great.
Paid $216.00 shipped. {Price was a factor}....
* You do have to trim the engine cover to fit*
Didn't K&N start this whole "Cold Air intake / Performance Filter" thing?

I am surprised you replaced the injen, why? injen is the best performing intake for these cars right now (waiting for vararam to release theirs).

Tony,

Was it the Injen Short Ram, or the normal long tube version that goes to the bottom of the fender?

What exactly did you not like? Your the first person I've heard who had one and didn't like it. Was it looks, sound, water worries, what was the deciding factor??

Where did you get one for $216 shipped? That's significantly less than anywhere I've seen on ebay or elsewhere?

What do you mean by saying you have to trim the engine cover? Has anyone else noticed the need to do so?

I haven't heard from anyone else that you need to trim the engine cover to fit any CAI.
