Hallo dears, hope someone can help me, i am in ITALY and i own an imported Camaro 3600cc LT2, born september 2009 in usa(i imported some months later).
I had a really big problem, it broke up without any previous notice and we opened the engine and found that i need to change completely the CRANK-SHAFT , and because chevrolet italy do not warrant my this car(import) i need to buy a new one, can someone give me an idea of the price?

Just curious...how many miles did you have on it? And had you done any engine modifications?

And are you looking for a price and source for a new engine? If so...I would check the middle eastern countries because there are a lot of Camaros there...especially in the UAE and Kuwait.

Someone probably ran the car hard without changing the oil and spun a bearing. You might be able to find or order one from either a dealer here or a salvage yard. Problem is the car is so new it will be tough to find in the yards. Try these guys -call them if you can. http://www.gmsportssalvage.com/ they might not have it but it's worth a shot.
Good luck!

You should look into getting an rebuilt engine or new. A crankshaft is not a drop in part for a motor. Needs to balanced with the pistons. This would be a complete engine rebuild. Plus, since there is an questionable engine of mileage and quality in this car. Also consider selling the car for a loss. Hard pill to swallow but might save you allot of hardship down the road. best of luck on this one.

Very true Buzz, they might have to fix it and get rid of it, the motor might not be the only thing that could go....

Maybe trade it in on a car thats more local ?

Are you in the US Military? I ask since because if so you might want to contact GM and see if they can help. Also would GM warrenty the motor since if it only has 20,000 miles the "drive train" has a 5 year, 100,000 mile warrenty. You might have to pay shipping and installation but that would be a option...just my 2c..
