Question My toy is broken

2011 2LT 920 mi.
After quick acceleration to merge into traffic I felt a little rough idle.than I noticed a few days later a slight engine knock on startup which went away after a few seconds. I drove it a little w/o any other issues. Then during a 20 mile trip a rough misfire with a little rattling noise (no code) 5 min later check engine light with a misfire (and loud rattle ) code 2 min later dead on the side if the road!.The car was taken to the dealer and I am waiting to hear what happened. Any ideas out there?

Anyone have a TSB for that? I have a SS, but I'm sure those with LT's would like to know.

The problem is in the engine so the dealer must do a tear down and inspection. I should have more news wed or thurs. I'll keep reporting.
And thanks for the "welcoming", great to have a camaro and to be here.

oh yeah, just noticed your post count

Welcome Aboard

I'm hoping everything goes well for ya on the inspection and repair. You'll be on the road again in no time, but it's a little frustrating to not drive the Camaro

Was there any smoke? Did they run the codes yet to check to see what was reported? Hopefully they do not have to pull your motor or anything. Oh and welcome!

The bad news is after a teardown metal was found all over indicating a bearing failure or something just as bad. New block or new engine will find out more tomm. I'll post again. Thanks for the well wishes.
