I had someone tell me to Un-hook the Negative side of the battery before starting when I installed my CAI, he said when I was all done with the install and hooded the Neg back up the Computer would reset with the New CAI, I don't know if it actually worked or not but I didn't have any problems. Hope this helps. I'm sure there's others on here that can answer Ur question better.

Check to make sure there are no gaps in your connections, and they are tight. An air leak will throw a code. Also, the MAF sensor may not be plugged in the whole way.

Follow the previous suggestions and verify no leaks and MAF fully seated with gasket/o-ring intact.

It can take some time for the ECM to adapt to the increased airflow and adjust accordingly. Though some require a tune (vararam, hennessy etc).

You may also have a "weak" MAF unit, pull it out and check the part number on it. If it is only a single letter, then it is a "weak" unit. If it is a letter and two numbers you are good to go in that dept.

If it is a weak one, there are vendors here that have "verified" "strong" units for sale....
