They would have to prove that what ever you did caused the failure, (what ever the failure was) to void your warranty. There just lazy or dont want to mess with it. Do do it right (if you wanted factory) you would need a harness and a new headlight switch. Not worth the hassell. Contact AAC lighting I beleive they have a kit and just install an aftermarket switch.

Ok, here is the deal, You can add
OEM foglights to the 2010-2011 Camaro , you need the front harness, lights, bezels and switch, all plug and play, then you go to dealer and ask them to get a new VCI for the BCM, they will call and GM will charge for that, then your oem fogs will work like they were designed, all factory.

For 2012 You must do the same thing, but the programming for the 2012 has not been released yet, I have the Test vehicle for the programming, and it will work, so GM will be releasing the update for GM dealers to use soon. the 2012 is different for some reason, they had to go through the PCM to get mine programmed. Everything works like factory, right down to the dash indicators.

The front harness and switch are pretty cheap, the harness replaces the non- fog harness in the front bumper.

And GM will now cover them for the remainder of the factory warranty, it is BS that your dealer will not get your parts or install them..

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"

Yeah, and that was just for one fog light! They were "buy one get one free" at the time, too, weren't they? I saw that advertised special.
