Exhaust and other mods?

I have a 2011 Camaro LS, I want to buy an exhaust and do other things to it to add hp. I have a 7 year bumper to bumper warranty and i dont want to wait till it expires. Is there anything I can do to my car (mainly exhaust) that wont void my warranty? If so, how much would it cost?

Thanks in advance!

There are lots of threads on here concerning mods and warranties. a few of them contain lots of information that will really be helpful. as far as what it will cost, it just depends on what ur wanting. if ur just lookin for sound and not necessarily performance then there are quite a few companies out there that make simple axle back systems. they will give u a bit of power but probably wont be able to feel much of it. as far as the price goes on those, spend as much as you want to. huuuuge ranges of price when it comes to exhaust....check out slp

I've been checking many threads and they all say something different when it comes to warranty. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a specific mod that wouldn't void the warranty other than the original GM accessories parts

Most bolt on mods will not void your warranty.

My dealer told me anything aftermarket would void my warranty when I asked him first. Then he said he wasn't sure because it might still be under warranty as long as I get them to install the mod. So I am going to talk to the service department and see what I can and can't do.

Did you install it yourself? Or did you get the dealer to install it for you?

Their both right !, GM states all mods will void warranty's, but if the dealership
will cover it, its on them, just keep the receipt & get it in writing
