Thanks man, I'm looking as well but I'm coming up on not legal. I thought maybe the BBK one was but they still need C.A.R.B. certification

I don't think there are any CARB legal CAI set-ups for the V6. I see that they are 50 state legal, just not CARB approved. I can't even find an EO number for the K&N replacement filter. You could always simply install a CAI, keep your stock air box set-up, and then re-install the stock box when you go to inspection. Other than that I don't think there is anything you can get...

Chapel is correct...there are no CAIs that are legal in CA for the V6 or V8. I know for sure because I had a friend that lived there with a V8 and we looked very hard for something that would work for him...but never found it.

Here's a link to a comparison of the best CAI's IMO on the market for the V6 so you can take a look at the numbers and decide for yourself...

CAI Comparison

The only other thing to be concerned with other than the numbers is the appearance...because some are definitely more attractive than others...but not everyone cares about that crap. But I think it's a good idea to Google each one to see if you have a personal visual preference before making a final decision.

I have an Airaid on my V6 and I'm very, very happy with it but only two of the for on that list were even available when I bought mine 2 1/2 years ago and the Airaid was (and still is) the only one that integrated with my RK Sport Ram Air Hood...but it's not the most attractive of the bunch so I had mine painted to make it look better.

Thanks for the info and help guys. What about throttle body spacers and mass air flow sensors? Sorry for all the questions, I am young and learning lol.

I wouldn't mess with the stock MAF sensor. I understand they work great until you start making serious hp. I know the LS3/L99 sensors are good even around 700 RWHP. I can't say for sure what the V6 sensors are handling. But I know there are twin turb'd cars out there running the stock pieces with no problems. As far as intake and TB spacers, I'd think Envy is the one you might wanna ask on that. And I think Bowtie Belle has one of those so she'll also be able to point you in the right direction.
