Dynomax 39494 Axel Back System

Got a question……….I want to upgrade the stock exhaust, but I’m not looking for the one that will blow my cover coming in at night!! Just something that has a good rumble to it, but is not going to be over powering. Has anyone tried the Dynomax 39494 Axel Back System. What I’ve seen on the web and the sounds they demo it seems pretty good. Just wondering if anyone has this system and what they think about it. I know there are better systems out there, but not looking to go the header and full system at this time.
Thanks for any input…………

Doesn't seem like many people have it. It doesn't really sound as loud in real life as it does on the Dynomax video. I bought it for my car, mainly because I had Dynomax stuff on my 04 GTO and loved the sound, and the price was great, I got it on sale $75 bucks off, and free shipping. It doesn't sound as good as my GTO did, but I don't think the mufflers are the same.

Here are a couple videos of my car with the Dynomax 39494

This video is just the axle back by itself

I decided it wasn't loud enough so I made a resonator delete & X pipe setup for it. Here is the video with the X-pipe, resonator delete, and 39494 axle back.

For the price I paid, I'm happy with it. I still wish it was louder though. SO I'm going to install some long tubes in the next couple months.

Hey RacnJsn,
Thanks for the note and your videos. The car sound good and I see what ya mean with the addition of the X Pipe and the resonator delete. Getting ready for some winter upgrades while she is put away, so I appreciate your input.
