Cool bbk or vmax

I'm looking into doing my throttle body this winter .money not the issue I would just like the best productfor the money. The vmax looks good but its still a 90mm throttle body. bbk is a 95mm and claims 10hp. The vmax just claims throttle response but no hp is this right or is there dyno results to prove hp gains.

There was a dyno on Youtube. I think it was 9 hp/11 tq over stock on an otherwise stock car.

I saw the video but a lot of guys say no gains but good throttle response. Bbk only clams 10 hp if rx is even 6-8 its worth it.Bbk is just taking to long I might have to go with the rx thanks for the reply.

A lot of guys on Camaro5 who have no idea of what they're talking about say no gains...lol!! There is another dyno just posted up on that site on the 29th that reported 8hp/10tq. That pretty much backs up the Youtube video. Two different companies, two different dynos, two different days...results within 1hp/tq of each other. Proof is in the pudding.

There are zero gains in a ported/polished TB. Zero nadda zip. It's all a out throttle response unless you also invest in an intake manifold.

I have to disagree...how do you dispute a dyno?

Put Fluid in a funnel and look at it. Small hole in back of a big hole does not make a small hole bigger. Same principal apply, Air or fluid.

Again, how do you dispute a dyno. Numbers don't lie. And there are several videos all showing gains in the same range. One video shows the install and then the dyno run right after the install. Can't fudge that.

First post....yay.

Fluid dynamics supports the concept, albeit the effect would be dependent on other variables to determine how effective this would be given it's particular application.

The attached image gives a generalized idea to the Venturi effect and how it works.
