Header Bolts

What kinds are u guys using? i heard that u cant re use the stock manifold bolts because they are only meant to be torqued down once??

TTY (torque-to-yield) bolts cannot be re-used. The stock exhaust manifold bolts are not TTY bolts. They can definitely be re-used. You will have no problem with yours. Use your stock bolts and the stock gaskets...you'll be fine!!

ok cool, cause everyone else is telling me otherwise and to go to the hardware store and saying the stock ones will leak

Who are these people telling you these things?? LOL!! I used my stock bolts and gaskets. The guys over on Camaro5 will all tell you the same thing. In fact, I haven't heard of anybody NOT using the stock bolts...

I used stock bolts and stock gaskets as well, haven't had any problems.

10 2SS/RS IOM w/ Black stripes, Air Lift Performance air ride kit, 24x10 Gianna Blitz wheels, Full audio/video, Black Phantom grille, reverse tilt hood, CAI, Zex Blackout Kit, XS Power Headers & Exhaust, Taylor 10.4mm wires, BMR Subframe connectors & tunnel brace, Dyno tuned by R.P.M. Motorsports

ok cool, idk this is what i have been hearing, do they usually sell u new bolts with the headers?

No they don't. You only get whatever bolts you would need to connect the test pipes/HF cats to the headers and the cat-back. They give you gaskets tho. But DO NOT use the gaskets they give you. They will leak.

ok good, im gonna get a set of gm gaskets or use the ones on there, hopefully they should still be good, im just under 11k

Mine had around 16,000 miles and I re-used them. Some people had over 20,000 miles. Remember, OEM gaskets are made to last forever.
