2014's come with a new oil seperator? / catch can?

But...must be dealer installed, as they put it in a box in the trunk.
They installed it in 2 seconds....but left a oil spot on my new rear seat, when they placed the bocx in the rear seat instead of the trunk.
Not sure if it is a catch can or oil sperator.
I will take pics and post tinight after I get home.
They swapped it out with something.

Don't think it was a GM part.. I dont find anything in any of my manuals about installing it, and I haven't seen a 2014 come through my department, we check them in off truck, that has one in it. ????

There is a GM catchcan. Is this what they installed on your 2014 ?

Below is the information copied directly from this link.
Camaro 1LE PCV Oil Separator Kit

Camaro 1LE PCV Oil Separator Kit

The increased handling performance of the 2013 Camaro with the 1LE performance package can generate some off-road or track conditions where engine oil can be ingested into the air cleaner through the fresh air tube that connects the port within the right valve cover to the air cleaner. The Chevrolet Performance Positive Crankcase Vent (PCV) oil separator kit can improve this condition. It’s a standard part of the 1LE performance package.

The kit (part number 12653073) is included with other packaged components in the vehicle. It should not be installed during PDI at the dealership. The kit and instructions should be kept in the car. Owners are responsible for installing the oil separator in the car for track use.

The kit is designed for off-road or track use only. The production PCV system should be installed back on the vehicle when driving on public roads.

The kit is not designed for winter driving conditions (ambient temperature should be above 32° F, 0°C).

Kit Contents

The PCV oil separator kit includes:
• Main housing (Fig. 7, A)
• PCV cap/plug (Fig. 7, B)
• Connecting tube (Fig. 7, C)
• Instruction sheet

Fig 7

The kit instructions cover how to remove the PCV tube that features quick connect fittings (Fig. 8), installing the PCV cap/plug over the valve cover PCV port, and installing the PCV main housing in the oil fill neck in the valve cover. (Fig. 9)

More plastic under the hood? Really Chevy, come on. How about a new master cylinder, Not plastic and doesn't leak while your at it.
Thanks in advance...

When I picked up my new 2014 1LE the oil seperator kit was already installed and instructions thrown out. I would like to have the instructions for documentation purposes. Can someone please scan theirs in or PM me and I can give my email address for emailing?

The below link is for a 2013. Is there a different part number for the 2014?

Besides the oil cap, what stock parts have to be removed to add this kit? I did not get the stock parts that the seperator parts replaced so I'd like to know what I am missing.

Thanks in advance!
