Heat Shields

Hey all, I have a 2010 SS and the heat shields underneith the car buzz like crazy! I got one to stop buzzing but the one on the driver side buzzes like mad, especially when I first start the car. Should I just remove them or should I try and put some thin rubber between the shield and the car bottom.

Sometimes the welds pop loose.. see if you can find where it is loose and weld it back together or fasten together with screws... don't use rubber.. it will melt... don't take them off..

Mine started to do that and drove me nuts! I thought it was the heat shields but discovered it was the mufflers in the back. After five yeras and 54k miles I guess it was to be expected. Went with the Granatelli axle back exhaust and love it! Easy install and great price too.

304 stainless, not the very best but very good for the price and use for me. Made in the USA, they designed it and it was 1/3 the price that I got quoted anywhere else...local and mail order. Fit like a glove.

For what I spent and what I got, it will be just fine even if it only last a couple of years.

Been a while since I logged on here (forgot password and crap like that) Anyhow......I found out that it is my muffler on the driver side. Haven't drove the car all winter and I'm getting ready! I am going to replace the exhaust. I'm not sure if im going to do a cat back or axel back. I cant remember what size the pipes are (bought the car used last May) It does have Doug Thorley Hedders and a Cold Air Inductions intake. What to do , what to do!
