It fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down...twice.
I thought the old one was ugly..with the massive jawbone of a bumper it had.
This one is just boxier..front and back..less aerodynamics..and the hood and front grill is all sticking out of the vehicle all weirdlike.
Plus, the only way to get the 6spd manual is to stick with the poopy V6. Only the V6 and the V8 now. Not like the 07 where you had 2 V8 options (the normal one with a 6spd manual and the H.O. one with the 5spd auto). Now you just get a V8(doesn't say on the Build My Own what power it is) with a 5spd auto.

They also no longer have the dark blue for the dakota..only a bright(ugly) blue is offered..for $225 or so more.
Hell, when you look at it just right...it looks like a smaller F-150 in its shape.

Yeah, the new Dakota design is... different I'll give it that.
Not the worst thing I've ever seen, but it's a definite "bleh".

Only ugler trucks I've seen are the Toyota ones, those are just hideous.
Seriously though..the front end..at a 3/4 angle..looks like a F-150 with a different grill and slightly different lights.
And ford trucks have always had very bland styling. Not something you want to mimick.
I will be repulsed if they turn the Ram into a giant box as well.

I agree about the Toyota trucks... really stupid looking.
Especially the interiors, they're horrid!

Ford has a way of making a bland shape look decent.
I've never minded Ford's styling.

That's the thing about Ford's truck styling. It's bland enough not to turn anyone off..but not good enough to make anyone go "ooo..purdy". Like the GMT900 trucks..I've seen some people that think they're the most horrid looking things on the road (these people like the previous gen's ANGRY EYES look..which I think was the most stupid thing ever.). But even more just drool at the sight of them...they stand out in traffic so much it is awesome.
I frown when I see toyota trucks on the road. Especially they're "Small" one, whatever it's called..Tacoma I think..it sits like 3ft off the ground.

I'll have to agree the Toyota is the ugliest truck.

The Dakota always puzzled me because of it's midsize design, but fullsize price. I've owned several trucks but got turned off when the price started skyrocketing. I see a truck as a utility vehicle for hauling or towing, not a daily driver.

I use my S-10 as a daily driver.
But that's Dodge for you, their vehicles almost always cost that of the next biggest size.
