From the past several years i got to drive Silverado SS , Impala SS, and for the truck i thought it looked bad-ass and loved the 345hp engine but then remembering if i spent a extra 10,000$ i could be driving a Srt-10 500hp truck it made the SS less special and the fact that u can buy a dodge ram 1500 with 5.7L engine with **** near same power for less money made me feel like the truck was more of a money grab for GM

The Impala SS on other hand was great not as fast as my uncles 2005 Mustang GT but i did keep up and i thought the interrior was better then his rustang but also thought the car should of been Rwd instead of FWD ..... i never drove a malibu SS but if i remember right it was the v6 in there and i think that was a waste of SS Badge

But good news is Gm was smart enough to get it right with the cheapest of all the SS family and thats the Cobalt.... the cobalt was not as fast as Srt-4 but i believe it was better built and better car all around. and i hear its pretty quick for the price but now its dead so lets hope the new Cobalt SS is a knockout ! in looks and power ill be expecting a turbo instead of a supercharger... but from all the bad badging that has been going on ill be surprised if super sport will be used in the future

Maybe if they look at the HHR's 269 HP 4 cyl turbo for an example, in the Malibu.....Like at said, the GM Ecex said HMMMMM when I mentioned a turbo SS? when he discussed a mid year SS version at the Chicago Malibu launch event I attended....

300 is yesterdays 200 especially for a car it's size/weight. 300 would be good in a cobalt but just ho hum in the malibu. Fortunately tghey are getting it right with the next Cobalt SS Turbo charged this go around.
