Today, we had a customer bring his 2010 Camaro SS in for a tune. The car is a bone stock automatic.

The baseline numbers were 318 RWHP / 345 RWTQ, the tuned numbers were 339 RWHP / 360 RWTQ. Similar to our G8 tunes, it did pick up power, but our transmission calibration makes it feel like a whole different car!

I like this philosophy.
We have a few customers that have requested we get rid of it entirely, but we warn them up front that there is more of a chance damaging the transmission with it turned off all together.

One car that comes to mind is a G8 GT with our stage 1 cam package. It's been 12.2 @ 119 mph N/A with stock tires and torque converter. He drives the car extremely hard and it's been fine so far. Another car, a 2006 Corvette Convertible with stage 1 cam and ProCharger makes 651 RWHP with the stock bottom end and has transmissions live if we leave some torque management, but goes through them rather quickly when it's gone all together.

Here's a video of a G8 with reduced torque management. Depending on the percentage that we reduce it, it can shift softer or harder. This one was pretty mild, but still got a small chirp of the tires on the 1-2 shift.
