A few days ago our carparazzi spotted a heavily camouflaged Ford Mustang on the Detroitt roads, and a day later Bob Lutz announced to 'pull the covers' off the upcoming Camaro, which now does its testing free of camouflage. The heavily camouflaged 'Stang was not just any new Mustang, but a Mustang GT Coupe (notice the dual exhaust) with what look remarkably like GT500 wheels.

Sources say that we can expect a mid-cycle facelift in 2010 for the pony car, and judging from the amount of covering it seems that it will be a rather big update with new front and rear fascia, including grille, headlamps and taillights.

If we are to believe the rumors, the 2010 Mustang will go into production early 2009 ith sales starting in either the late in the first or second quarter of 2009.

Ford needs about 100 more horses under the hood on their GT models. The outside wasn't hurting them as much as the inside. Cheap and uncomfortable.

Ford should of announced a new interior style/design change in 06 after people got to see the 05. The saving factor is all those people who had to have Mustang no matter what. I've read scores of stories from people who were excited about the Mustang until they opened the door and looked inside.

GM can be a winner just by making sure the Camaro's interior is tops for the segment.

Coming from Mustangs, I was let down big time. They built one from scatch (original exclusive chassis, unlike the chassis from the falcon,fairmont..) and still manage to screw up. But, hell, its still sells. But from my view point the modular engines were an attempt step beyond the pushrod, but failed horribly. Ford should of did like it american brothers and keep doing what it knows best, pushrod.

Ford's new year's resolution should be this:

2010 Mustang GT ($26,000):
-all aluminum OHV 5.0 engine (360hp) with VVT/AFM
-redesigned IRS
-6spd manual

2010 Mustang Boss ($35,000)
-all aluminum OHV 5.8 Boss engine (400hp) with VVT/AFM
-redesigned IRS
-6spd manual and new 6spd auto

2010 Mustang Mach 1 option package ($3000):
-New Cobra Jet 6.2 OHV (450hp) engine option
-6spd only
-hardtop only

At least they will be attempting to fit the bill of the past, if they dont the mustang will be Mud even more so. Even at least within 20hp of the Camaro. This is becoming a "domestic vs. import" world out there, I dont want the Mustang to be the wimpy little brother that has to saved from the bullies on the playground by his big brother's Camaro and Chally.

I seriously thought about getting a Mustang once. Especially when I was trying to get a job at the Ford factory over here (didn't work out so well, which is why I have a real twinge against Ford..the company itself, not their cars). But one day I rode in a coworker's 04 Mustang. THE most uncomfortable thing I have ever rode in in my entire life. Passenger seat felt like leather covering plywood. My knees were above the dash's air vents.
Later on me and 2 other people piled back into the same car again to go somewhere. I'm around 6', while my friend is a bit taller than that. It was physically impossible to sit up straight in the back of that **** thing.

I like the current Mustang's styling, inside and out. But if it still feels like that 04 does then NO WAY IN HELL will I ever get one. :p

EDIT: PS: There's a black v6 Mustang down the street that is beginning to be rather riced out (Massive cowl hood with a lovely black primer finish) and the doofass that owns it decided to make his v6 wheels look more "badass". Know what he did? Idiot spray painted his TIRES silver to make the 3 tips of his rims look like they stick out further.

Seriously.

I'm tempted to. I would have to use a digital camera. I COULD take one with my phone but stupid Verizon doesn't let one download pictures from a phone to the computer. One would have to pay $$ to e-mail it to themselves. Which I ain't doin. :D

I would like to give credit when credit is do. So i admit that the new 2008 Mustang Bullet is one fine looking machine. Regardless of one's preference to the domestic sports cars, the Bullet will always say Steve Mcqueen cool !!.
