2nd Annual Buyers & Builders Oshawa Meet & Greet - August 20-22
Announcing the 2nd Annual, Buyers & Builders Oshawa Meet & Greet (BBOMG)

-SEE END OF INFORMATION FOR CONVOY INFO-

This August we will once again be hosting a meet and greet with the Assembly workers of GM Oshawa August 20th – 22nd. This event is a way for owners to say "thanks" to the people who spend their days putting our beloved cars together. Over the last year of turmoil the wonderful people of GM Oshawa have produced strong numbers of the Impala, continued to impress with the 2008 North American Car of the year the Malibu and sent shockwaves through the industry with the 2010 Camaro – building nearly 100,000 units in its first year of production! And they did all this while maintaining some of the highest build-standards in the industry
.

Last year we focused on 2010 Camaros - This year we would like to see ALL YEARS in attendance! Of course we expect a big showing of Camaros and Firebirds, but we won’t turn away any GM car enthusiast.

Tried to book the room online (I'm at work now, but can't call)...one time it said those dates were filled, another time it gave standard room rates and wasn't taking the Camaro Group or CAM discount code.

So...it appears I'll be calling this evening after work.

Hate ask a stupid question but will we get conformation on registration? Not sure if mine went through
As soon as Scott and I confirm that the paypal account is up
and working for international currency, the confirmations will go out with a link to pay for the dinners.

Good point - The link seems to be messed up for some reason. I had this problem on an earlier draft and thought I had it fixed.

Here is the link everyone - See if this works:

Let me just add this information:
What Scotty experienced is likely the exception. With the rooms we have blocked off for the nights of the 20th & 21st, and the other bookings they already have, we are pretty much filling this hotel. So I expect there is limited inventory available on-line (I'm checking this). I just went on the Holiday Inn website and it shows the rate Scotty paid (above) for 20/21 and it does show a cheaper non-refundable rate. Remember, that's non-refundable. The group rate is fully refundable. The other thing is we ask everyone to book through the group code to be counted towards our quota of rooms (Scotty don't worry, you paid slightly more so I'll ensure you're counted).

Thanks everyone

I just got off the phone with the booking agent from Holiday Inn. Booked for non-smoking King bed on the 19th at regular rate, and for the 20-21 at the CAM rate. It was 10 bucks more for a King apparently, but that's cool. I ain't quibbling. We got a room!

Scotty was probably using his senior citizen discount!! D'oh!

Ditto on that. It takes longer now from what I've heard. We renewed our passports a couple years ago, so we're ready.
