Spy photographers have caught the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro testing its mid-cycle refresh.
The prototype being tested confirms the six-speed manual transmission will still be offered on certain models, but a seven-speed manual may still appear on other high-performance models.
AutoGuide.com first reported on the seven-speed manual earlier this year after finding a California Air Resources Board (CARB) document listing the available powertrain options for the updated
Camaro. In the document, it said the Chevrolet Camaro would offer three different transmission types: MA6, MA7, and SA8. General
Motors then updated the filing to remove the seven-speed – though it’s not clear if that was Chevy covering its tracks, or correcting a mistake.
