Can any of you guys help me with tracking my Camaro. My dealer thinks it has shipped, but he is not sure. I really want to find out if it got EXILED to Pontiac. The vin# is 2G1FTEW7A9107132, Order # NDNWTR. Any help would really be appreciated. Thank You

try the 1-800 # or ask your dealer to call the DBC and see if they know. THere are also various rail car tracking and car hauler tracking threads you can try.

I just spoke with the dealer yesterday and was told mine is in transit, but GM couldn't tell them exactly where it was. I have a feeling it's on it's way to Pontiac, but I really hope this isn't the case. Mine was built right behind both of yours, #7460.

Mine is not on the Railroad spreadsheet, which you would think it would be cause it coming all the way to Northern California.

I just called the 800 # and I was told that my car left the factory on the train on May 7. They do not have a scheduled delivery date, but I was told that it is NOT scheduled to stop in Pontiac!!

I didn't ask them for the railcar information since mine was included in the Railcar spreadsheet before it was no longer updated, so I'm not sure if they can give that information or not. They seem to either not have much of that info or are not allowed to say, I'm not sure. The number is 1-800-222-1020. Give it a shot! You will need your order number in order for them to help you out.

Tracking your Camaro on the railroads

Here's a link to a spreadsheet with Rail Shipped VINs.
A fellow Camaro enthusiast who works for one of the railroads built this spreadsheet, and updates it once or twice a day.

You can find VINs and what railcar a particular car is in, where that railcar is and when it's scheduled to arrive at it's distribution center. It's really cool!

However, there are some holes.....
- If the car hasn't been shipped, it won't be on the list.
- If the car went by truck, it won't be on the list.
- If the VIN gets into the US (and transferred to a US company) before he has a chance to see what railcar it's in, it won't be on the list.

The red highlighted rows have already been off-loaded at the distribution center.

When the cars finally start moving, most of them will move by rail.
They will be transported to a railroad distribution center, where they will be offloaded and parked, and then be parked, awaiting over-the-road hauling.
These rail distribution centers are all over Canada and the US.

When your car is finally loaded onto a train car (called AutoRack), a railcar number will be assigned.
Your dealer can call the Dealer Business Center and get the actual railroad company and the railcar number.
The DBC can also provide the railyard that will receive your car.
Once you have those pieces of info, you will be able to track your car as it moves thru the country.

All of the railroads listed have a tracking system in place.
An online one for customers and a phone-in one for everybody else. The phone numbers are in the links provided. You can call them up, give them your railcar number, and they can tell you where your car is and what the ETA is.

Once the vehicle reaches the railyard, it will be unloaded and "bayed", awaiting over-the-road transport.
The phone numbers to the distribution centers are in those links as well.

AND, the over-the-road haulers that serve the particular distribution center you're looking at are listed as well. You can take the name of the hauler listed, Google them, and come up with a phone number if you desire.
