Hi this will be a DIY on how to upgrade to a Mylink Nav radio to older gen5 camaro's.


Got the face plate the other day, there out for sale, ( all 4 of them ) Why 4 ? there is only 2 models but then you need to add with or with out Heated Seats, and with and with out the Nav in them, there is no more CD opining in the face plate.

The 2011 and 2012 cars will be less work, the 2010 cars will need to do some adding of wires to work, As i see it now all older cars will need the 2013 antenna to get the Nav to work, and on 2010 we will need more parts to upgrade, I have a 2010 so my car will be the guinea pig for the mod, Do not buy parts till i have this done or you may buy parts not needed.

For NAV? No, it runs from a local disk (SD card)....

Why use the GM head unit? There are other options that look better IMHO.

i'm debating whether or not to go with my MyLink or just an aftermarket Pioneer. i'm hoping to put something in this spring.
