How a bought we find a Sponsor that could make shims for under the seat at the legs ;)

My thought;
try different thickness of shims on strips of aluminum + drill it for the holes & add longer bolts,
maybe start w/ wood & 1/4" thick & see if that's enough :dunno: / :D

Good idea. Only thing is that it would be lifted up for everone in that seat.Try a heavy pillow for the kids.:)
Maybe build a hydraulic frame, a pump that lifts both sides of the seat,
like a bottle/floor jack w/a electric button ;) & :D

Use a booster for the kids not a pillow :p

My wife has noticed same thing. Kids have never complained, I wouldn't want it permanent by adding shims, because if a taller person or myself had to ride over there it would be too tall. Pillow or power seat is only real fix.

I ordered a 2012 Camaro Convertible seat track today. List price is around $475.00

I had to put it on a special assistance case when I ordered it as there are none in stock in any warehouse.

I'll keep you posted when it comes in and how the swap go's as well as the cost.

Ok not sure how many parts it will require to change my 2011 Convertible to a six way power passenger seat but my original goal was to keep it around $400. Yes thats quite a chunk of change but my passengers enjoyment makes a difference I'll spend it.

First the 2012 seat track for the cloth and leather seats has the same part number.

Seat Frame... 13581767 and a list price of $481.28

Will need a switch to operate it.

Switch....25974715 list price of $50.81

I figure that those two pieces are the bare minimum that will be needed. The other parts may or may not be needed would include.

Knob....15889530 list price of $4.25
Knob....15889524 list price of $4.25
Cover (side of seat plastic) 22780755 List price $40.66

And depending on weather you have cloth seats or heated leather.

Harness (cloth)... 22780748 list price of $122.20
Harness (leather)..22780747 list price of $128.66

Now as you know I work at the dealer so employee price gives a decent discount. If this works as I hope a plug and play then I will extend a discount to my Camaro brothers. Some of you know the parts people at other dealerships and get great deals already.

So now the waiting game to see if I actually get the seat frame in a reasonable amount of time.

We Camaro owners live for discounts. Thanks for the part numbers.

Everything you listed there if you buy it from gmpartsdirect.com, and live outside NC, you can get all that delivered to your door for $511.89 (with leather. slightly cheaper with cloth seats)

Not sure, but I would think there are no bolts where the seats attach. Just studs and the seat sits on them and a nut on top.

So here we have my friend Raffiel.

Now with the seat in the position that is normal for the 2011 and earlier cars.

And here we have the seat in the up most position.

From the front you cannot barely see his head.

But in the 2012 Seat raised up all is right in the world

Thank You Raffi for you assistance

2012 models are supposed to have passenger seat height adjustment. Should make it an easy fix for previous model year owners.
But will it be electric and do we need a new wiring harness, seat base, seat rails and all other componets to make it work... From what I have already read it will be electric. Wont be an easy fix...
