Per my dealer (Paddock in NY) who is on some type of dealer board, that after much pushing and convincing, GM is finally going to make an announcement tomorrow explaining the delays. That's all I know for now. Stay tuned!

UPDATE: It has to do with the battery cable. Anyone who's had a delivery is to be given a loaner car and have their car flatbeded to their dealership, then the dealerships should have parts to fix them by the 11th.

If you dealer set any expectation beyond having the car before end of third quarter 09 then the dealer has a problem. While I'm annoyed I'm still at 1100, I knew it was likely to be quite a wait since there were around 14,000 of us who pre-ordered.

wouldn't count on it.

i read somewhere that the positive battery cable running to the battery in back is rubbing against the starter housing. this is causing the positive cable to ground out. rumor has it there have been 2 fires.........not sure that any of it is true. as of now it hasn't been confirmed.

I believe the first reported person was only ten miles down the road from picking theirs up when the entire car shut off.

Brake weights
Cracking bumper cover
Battery cable

Three things that GM seems to be swiftly correcting. Let's hope not much more comes up :5go:
