I thought I would ask, because these individuals are more important to the success of the Camaro than the V8 buyers.

I am sure there are alot of Teenagers whose parents will not buy them a V8 Vert for their first car, but something Sporty, yes.

No derogatory comments, please.

I am just curious.

What do you mean swap? Why? The 3 platform is good enough, or are you just talking blocks.....

Expound on your statement young ppr....
I mean replacing the LS3 block with this LSX block:
http://pprod.gmgoodwrench.gmgssm.co...p?engId=LSX&engine=LSX&sku=19166454&engCat=ls

454c.i.+ LS based block.

I will have to wait and see how the LS3 does but if it needs more power the LSX is what I would like to do in this car. I am pretty sure everything will exchange with the LSX block from the LS3 block.

Nice retort, just picked up right where the other thread left off! Cheers!

That is what I thought you meant!

Rock on.

My brother has a 445 ci small block in his Chevelle and I am working on making him some Stock Appearing fender badging......

Big inch small blocks are all the rage with the kids these day! LOL!!!!!!!!

I gotta have more or equal performance to my current 1994 Corvette (with some mods) to be happy. Weight will go up, so power has to go up accordingly. Gaining a back seat is also worth the weight gain.

I know a t60 type turbo system on a v6 would be killer
with a mbc and wg, u wouldnt even see psi if u didnt want it,
car would run as stock. a few turns of the dial and instant 15psi
easily 500rwhp with that turbo. if i could not own a v8 i would have turbo 6
im sure this will be a very good alternative, to those who cannot own, or afford a v8 car due to insurance.or v8 entry price

I started with a V6 ranger, then a 2000 V6 mustang, then a 2001 Mustang Gt, and now im ready for someone real. I dont expect the top production hardtop model costing over 40k; if Im right; then its top v8 all the way.:roxor:

It depends for me. I'm a cheapist-gas kinda guy. If there is a v8 that does well on just regular 87 octane then that would be what I'm shooting for. Otherwise..hate to say it..but might be a V6. Either way..it'll have more harumph than my 97 s-10 does.(4.3l V6)

The new direct-injected V6 would be badass. The one they're putting in the new CTS that gets like 297 HP or some crap. That'd be plenty for me.

I just remember reading somewhere it's 297. Either way..it's a hellova lot more than anything else out there in comparable size.
I remember reading somewhere that someone thought the new camaro was going to be like $60,000 because of just how blatantly awesome it is. Good to know it's going to be around the same price as the "meh..ok" mustang.
