i have an A6 and had it in sport mode.. happens at 9:20ish in the video.. sorry for the long video, i cant figure out how to edit any of my go pro videos on my mac..

but it didnt want to up-shift.. i think maybe the car, for some reason, thought i was going downhill since i was feathering the brake alot on those turns?? anyone??

after a while i shifted to D then back to S and it seemed to fix the problem.. hasn't happened since

Mine seems to do the same thing, It seems it wants to hold the gear to the higher RPM before I will shift. I did not watch your vid, I just know mine does it. I beleive it has learned from how you drive and is waiting for optimal RPM. Thats my 2 cents.

I agree w/ Guapo.. here, it sounds like your computer has learned your driving and is confused maybe.

Mine does the same thing sometimes and found that this is a common complaint. I can make mine do thie anytime by taking a curved circle onramp at high speed and when I get to the top or bottom it will do this every time.

It only happens in Sport, and it's not a bug. It's SUPPOSED to do that.

This is out of the owners manual. It sounds like what you were experiencing.

While driving in Sport Mode, if Tap Shift has not been activated, the transmission determines when the vehicle is being driven in a competitive manner. The transmission may remain in a gear longer than it would in the normal driving mode based on throttle input and vehicle lateral acceleration. If there is a rapid reduction in throttle from a heavy throttle position, the transmission will maintain the current gear up to near redline rpm. While braking, the transmission will automatically downshift to the next lower gear keeping engine speed above approximately 3000 rpm. If the vehicle is then driven for a short time at a steady speed, and without high cornering loads, the transmission will up-shift one gear at a time, until 6 (Sixth) gear. After shifting to 6 (Sixth) gear, or coming to a complete stop, the transmission will return to normal Sport Mode shifting.
