I took the CTS to atuocross today with some local fbody club guys. I had a lot of fun. It was a blast for sure. The CTS did pretty well too. It had very good balance.

The next one is in two weeks, I think I will go to it. You have to be there around 9a.m. I hope I won't be too tired from drag racing the night before, because most the time I don't get home till around 1a.m.

I used to autocross, indeed, I'd taken about anything I was driving to an event. That includes the '85 Camaro I had, where I was running right on the heels of someone with a Shelby Daytona Turbo Z, using a F41 equipped V6 sport coupe, the Escort that followed it (yecch), and even a '76 Monte Carlo (trick here was not to apply power in mid corner, which made the car plow like a draft horse). I look forward to autocrossing a new Camaro.

Definately a good time under controlled conditions that are reasonably safe. NOt a sport for the "faint of wallet". Got addicted to it and spent a lot on tires too! After a while, it just got to be too long of a wait to get in the line to have your shot at a few minutes of racing. A lot of fun if you can get an early run, but it is no fun if you have a run at the end of a long day and are too tired from setting up cones and stuff. Register early to beat the crowd and enjoy it.:D

Autocross is a good time.
I really enjoyed it when I went to the Chevy Rev-It-Up event, and it's something I could see myself participating in on a regular basis. :)
6 speed is the way to go in the auto x, so you better start..... never mind I won't bring up a the past:rotflmao:

My buddy brung his 03 Whipple Cobra. It was his first time as well. Me and him had close times despite the big difference in power.
My time was 51.8 in the CTS and his was 52.7 in the Cobra.
I rode with him on a pass and I can see why he had a hard time getting around. his car was a little touchy when on the trottle. I was hard for him to be on the throttle besides the straits. On my car I was on the throttle a lot more, but mine was a little weak in the straits.

I'm an autocross addict! I started about 6 years ago in a 92 Mustang LX vert. Then, used a more practical 2002 Mazda Protege5, then back to muscle with my 93 Vette. You can see my videos in my sig below. I love it!
