a 9" isnt any stronger than a 10 bolt?? I think you better recheck that. 10 bolts are what 7.5"?
10-bolts are 7.625", a 12-bolt is 8.625", and a Ford 9" is 9". But all of them handle torque the same way because they are C-Clip axles. An S60 is 9.75" and handles torque differently because its a non-C-Clip axle. Look it up on TGO. TGO is a far better source for tech than LS1tech. Also, an S60 is the cheapest aftermarket rear for our cars and its also the strongest.

That is Strange's own product description too. They also happen to build 12-bolt and 9" rears so I think they would know.

so how much will a 10 bolt handle?

Assuming you have a built 10-bolt, I'd wager around the 450-500hp range. I've seen several people building 10-bolts for 400+ rwtq 383's on TGO.
i've seen 10 bolts hold up to some power... as long as there not stall to high... but where alot of ppl break them is spools and mini spools and trying to drive them on the road...

maybe with an auto. My mp112 maggie will make more than 400fpt and its a stick. So yea, I would need something stronger than a 10 bolt.

Actually, the number one failure on the 10-bolt is the C-Clips. They break and the axles slide right out of the housing. That has also been a common complaint about the 12-bolt and 9" on TGO as well.
wat else have u done to ur bird lately
wat else have u done to ur bird lately
just buying parts for the sc build up, its alot more expensive than I thought. but i almost have everything.
thats good looking for a another third gen or a ls1 model sw6 or z28
if I had to start from scratch id find a nice base model hardtop 86 firebird, lighten it up and put a ls2+ in it.
unsubscribe for the massive failure......
unsubscribe for the massive failure......
And that would be what exactly?
ok..
massive failure? you kidding me? maybe the dude just has not had time to upload pics of his work to this particular site

the car looks f"n awesom. ................... because it is f"n awesome.

i await updates.. but patientley.. and bad mojo to that guy who said it was a "massive failure" and for you.....crash and burn dude. . 3rd gens can be built.. they are not always the teenager rust buckets that cruise around town.. .. check out www.thirdgen.org and realize that these cars are serious drag contenders...let alone optimum chasssis performers....pro-mod race cars, pro touring cars and every class in between. .. keep silent fool if you have nothing to positive to say about that awesome blue car
